Clients fly into either Johannesburg International or Cape Town International (South Africa) where you will clear customs and from where you get a connecting flight to Port Elizabeth.
Upon your arrival in Port Elizabeth you will be welcomed by our staff at the airport and transported to the Murray ranche's by hunting vehicle (± 3 hour drive).
A private air charter can be arranged from Port Elizabeth to the Murray ranch (± 40 minute flight) or from Johannesburg / Cape Town (± 1hour 40min).
A private air charter can also be arranged from Johannesburg or Cape Town to the Murray ranch.
Each professional hunter has a fully equipped, well maintained four-wheel drive hunting vehicle. All vehicles include comprehensive first aid kits and tools to carry out field repairs.
Visas, Passports & Customs
Customs clearance is operative at your port of entry into South Africa.
South Africa requires a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date and with at least 2 blank pages. A Yellow fever certificate are required if the journey starts or entails passing through the yellow fever belt of Africa or South America. Entry will not be allowed if less than this.
Citizens of certain countries are required to obtain visas for entry into South Africa. As the list of such countries changes from time to time it is important to check current visa requirements with your travel consultant.
Language & Currency
Of the eleven official languages in South Africa, English, Afrikaans and Xhosa are the predominantly spoken languages in the Eastern Cape.
The local currency is the South African Rand (ZAR).
At the moment, credit cards are not accepted by the Outfitter but are welcomed at most shops. The government levies 14% Value Added Tax on all non-export items, i.e. air charters, car hire, accommodation, etc.
Weather & Clothing
Temperatures vary a great deal in this area and can change very quickly.
Midday Temperatures in:
Spring (September, October, November) ± 74ºF
Summer (December, January, February) ± 92ºF
Autumn (March, April, May) ± 68ºF
Winter (June, July, August) ± 60ºF
Clothing should include lightweight garments, a warm sweater, windproof jacket and strong, comfortable boots.
Laundry is done daily.

Medical
We are situated in the Eastern Cape Province and this is not a recognised malaria area.
Clients should bring personal medication along.
