Bottlepan camp or temporary fly camps, are fully stocked and well-equipped to ensure a relaxing stay. A fine selection of local and imported drinks is provided, as is a variety of top quality wines. While unwinding around the evening campfire you will be able to appreciate ice cold drinks accompanied by traditional hors d'oeuvres. Bottlepan is a very busy pan especially in the early mornings and late afternoons and you will be able to see big herds of Elephant, Buffalo and other game come in to drink as you sit on your deck. It is not uncommon to be kept awake all night by Lions when they make a kill at the waters edge.
Bottlepan camp provide hot and cold running water and flush toilets, bathrooms are en-suite - so total privacy is ensured. Camp staff will ensure that bathrooms are cleaned, beds made and that laundry is done daily.
All tents are insect-proof and although electricity is not available, lighting, either by generators, solar or lanterns, is provided. 12 Volt battery powered or solar powered lights are provided in all tents. A gas operated hair dryer / hot brush is recommended.
All camps are in daily contact with our headquarters so messages can be received and relayed. Furthermore, all camps have been approved by our local tourism department for the accommodation of foreign guests, and all facilities provided are to the highest standard.
