As the name implies, this medium-sized antelope is found in mountainous areas where grass and shelter is available for them.

Mountain Reedbuck live in herds of 3-12 animals and normally have one breeding ram in the herd. Young males are chased away when they reach sexually maturity.

The Mountain Reedbuck ram and ewe have no difference in appearance, except the ram carries horns whereas the ewe does not.

Hunting Mountain Reedbuck is extremely challenging due to the fact that they are found on mountain slopes; and hunting them requires a long walk and glassing of the landscape.

Suitable calibers for hunting Mountain Reedbuck are 222-.30.
